MovieFlix keeps its public browsing experience intentionally lightweight. This page explains what the site records and why.
Information we collect
Optional analytics remains disabled until you choose Accept analytics. If accepted, MovieFlix may record anonymous page views, searches, qualified movie views, trailer plays, sampled Core Web Vitals, and basic technical diagnostics. Account information is stored only when you create or administer an account.
How we use it
Consented usage data helps us improve discovery, diagnose errors, protect the service, and understand which catalog features are useful. A qualified movie view requires at least eight seconds on an active page and is counted once per browser, movie, and UTC day. Raw anonymous analytics events are retained for 90 days while aggregated daily totals may be kept longer. We do not sell personal information.
Third-party services
Trailer playback and external watch links can take you to a video host or viewing provider. Their own privacy terms apply once you leave MovieFlix.
Your choices
You can browse the public catalog without an account or optional analytics. Use Privacy choices in the footer at any time to accept or decline analytics. The necessary preference cookie lasts up to 12 months so the site can remember your decision. For questions about stored account information, contact the site administrator.
